We went to Dave and Buster for dinner, The place is very nice. Looking for a nice event and good meal, we were disappointed at achieving neither. Revenue from the game credits were lost, as is revenue from any return visit. We originally planned to stay and buy token credits for games, but after being there for over two hours, and more than an hour of that just waiting for our orders, we were done for the evening. After a conversation with the manager the two chicken Parmesan meals were taken off the bill, but not the kid’s chicken nugget meal ($7.50 for the kid’s meal). There were apologies from our server for the long wait, and indeed we do not fault her for most of the problem.

A full ten minutes after that the last chicken Parmesan meal arrived. By now, those of us who politely waited to eat had cold fries and lukewarm burgers. Two Chicken Parmesan orders and a kid’s chicken nugget meal were not delivered, with a promise of “They’ll be ‘right’ out.” 10-15 minutes later, one of the chicken Parmesan orders and the kid’s meal was served. But not ALL the food, just the burgers and one chicken tender appetizer. After ordering it took an hour before food was brought out. With out-of-town family in a group of eight adults and one toddler we returned today for the same, a nice meal and some fun games. It is several miles from our home, so visits were infrequent. decent food, video and arcade games made being there an event much more than just a dinner out. I chose it for my birthdays and also the birthdays of other family members. I really used to like Dave & Buster’s in Maryland Heights MO. It’s been awhile since we went here, it’ll be a long while for us to return.
